The Center Vivir con Diabetes (CVCD), is a non-profit organization that started its activities in 2003 thanks to the initiative of a group of professionals interested in working with people suffering from diabetes. In 2006, and thanks to the excellent work accomplished by the staff, the CVCD became a member of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). In 2013, the CVCD celebrated 10 years of work and commitment geared towards the general health of the population.
To provide quality attention and updated information to people with diabetes. The team strives to educate Bolivians in regards to diabetes so as to empower them to adequately control their condition and live a fulfilling life, avoiding future complications.

People interested in doing health internship with diabetics in Bolivia is something very valuable, as well as volunteering. Volunteers can help in a variety of areas at the center, ranging from communication and design, nutrition, shadowing nurses, and helping with general outreach. Volunteers can also undertake tasks to manage the website, create new content, or translate existing content. Professionals with medical experience can help with patients or in the laboratory.
