Background:
The Hogar de Sueños was born of the initiative of a pastor working in Cochabamba who, after seeing so many abandoned and neglected children in the city, was moved to do something. The orphanage opened its doors in 2006 in order to take in boys and girls aged from 0 to 5 years, some of whom have now reached the age of 8. During over three years in operation, the home has welcomed and given refuge to approximately 70 children, of whom many have been assisted in moving back to their families and 10 have been placed into adoptive care.
Objetivos:
The main objective of the Hogar de Sueños is to provide dignified lives to boys and girls from Cochabamba who have been orphaned or abandoned, providing them with love, care and attention in the areas of education, health, social and psychological care, promoting the development of their skills and potential abilities. The orphanage seeks to combat the abandonment and neglect of children, through the work of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to its mission.
The home attends to every child individually and integrally during their stay, looking to pave the way for a loving and stable future, via a return to the family home or adoption wherever possible.
