Viviana Wilma Flores
Viviana Wilma Flores, a native of Oruro,
is 34 years old and married. She attended secondary school
in both Bolivia and Buenos Aires. Her experience studying
and working in Argentina proved extremely valuable in her
personal and professional development. She returned to Bolivia
where she completed her studies at San Simon University, in
Applied Linguistics and Language teaching. Since 2000 she
has been teaching Spanish and Quechua to foreigners from all
over the world. She has also designed a text for teaching
Quechua as a second language. |

Hernán José Aguilar
Rojas
Hernan was born in Cochabamba in 1945.
He studied at Parroquial Santa Ana de Cala Cala Mary Knoll
and Junin National School. He attended the Del Valle University
where he graduated in 1998. He studied painting and theatre
in the Centro Boliviano Americano as well as courses of theatre
direction in the Alianza Francesa. For 30 years he dedicated
himself exclusively to painting and for a further 16 years
to the theatre. He has appeared in many popular Bolivian plays
and had a main part in the movie “La Cruel Martina”.
In 1998 he worked in the Association of River Transport and
in 1999 as a consultant to the Federación Unica de
Trabajadores Campesinos. In 2002 he worked in the headquarters
of the Bolivian Congress and in 2005 he became the President
of the Bolivian Institute of Art. Due to Hernan´s
personal and professional experience his classes often incorporate
lectures on Bolivian history, art and literature. Throughout
his life one of one of his main hobbies has been teaching
his native language, Quechua. |

Patricia Lizbeth Caba Peñaranda
Patricia was born in Potosí in 1981.
She began her education at Particular Panamericano school in
Potosí and in 1994 she moved to Buenos Aires, where she
continued her education. In 2000 she returned to Bolivia to
reside in the city of Cochabamba. From 2000 to 2004 she studied
Applied Linguistics and Language teaching in San Simon University,
while also working as secretary and librarian. From 2005 to
2007 she taught Spanish to foreigners at Projects Abroad; whilst
also teaching in schools and institutes as an English teacher.
Patricia loves teaching Spanish because she is passionate about
sharing her language and culture with foreigners. |

Patricia Torrico Luizaga
Patricia Torrico Luizaga was born in Cochabamba
in 1979. She comes from a large family and has lived in Cochabamba
most of her life. She studied Applied Linguistics and Language
teaching at San Simon University where she learned English,
French and Quechua. She has practical experience as a linguistics
and English teacher, as well as teaching Spanish to school
students in the city of Dijon in France. This experience served
to improve her professionally, and to value her own country
more. In her spare time she likes to travel and play football. |

Karen Paola Illanes Santa Cruz
Karen is 26 years old and married. She was
born in the city of La Paz but moved to Cochabamba as a child.
She studied Applied Linguistics and Language teaching in the
department of Linguistics at San Simon University graduating
in 2006. Throughout her time in the university she gained
practical experience teaching as a tutor and Spanish teacher
for various institutions. Karen´s professional experience
is varied having worked as an assistant in the Translation
Centre of San Simon University, as a private secretary, as
a cashier in an internet café and as a legal secretary
and, of course, as a language instructor. Her hobbies include
dancing, reading and watching movies. |

Milenka Perez
Milenka is 26 years old and a native of Las
Yungas in the department of La Paz. She went to primary school
at Sara Ugarte and secondary school at Daniel Salamanca. At
the age of 15 she moved to Cochabamba in order to continue
her studies. Like many of our teachers she studied Applied
Linguistics and Language teaching at San Simon University
in Cochabamba and graduated in 2005. In addition to
teaching Spanish, Milenka also teaches English to Bolivian
students and gives classes on traditional Bolivian dancing. |

Alexi Campos Reinaga
Alexei was born in Cochabamba on December 26 1976. From 1981
to 1994 he attended the Instituto Americano and later studied
Economics in San Simon University until 1997 but had to abandon
his degree because of work commitments. In 1999 Alexei began
studying Social Communication and received a degree in 2003.
In 2007 he completed his thesis in PROSALUD, which is currently
under revision. Alexei has much experience tutoring
Spanish to both foreigners and high school students in Cochabamba. |

Betty Salguero Terceros
Betty was born in Potosí in 1965. Betty
attended primary school in Junín de Catavi and secondary
school in Liceo de Señoritas Prada. In 1986 she
began studying linguistics at the Universidad Mayor de San
Simon and in 1992 received her degree. After teaching for
one year in a private English institute, she began teaching
Spanish to foreigners. With over 13 years of experience teaching
Spanish, Betty has developed her own methodology and skills.
She is married and has two sons. |

Carmen Rosa Guzmán Herrera
Carmen was born in Potosí in 1975. She
went to primary school in Colegio Bolivia, secondary school
in Ciudad de Potosí and attended university at San
Simon where she studied Applied Linguistics and Language teaching.
After graduating she travelled to France where she taught
Spanish at F.L.E. in l' ècole superieur Yvelines Langues
in Paris. Upon returning to Bolivia, Carmen completed her
master´s degree in education at the Universidad Militar
de las Fuerzas Armadas de la Nación. Since 1999
she has worked in bilingual education in various prestigious
schools and institutes of higher education. She has
experience working as a translator, teaching graduate classes
at the Military University as well as teaching both Spanish
and Quechua to foreigners and Bolivians. Her hobbies are listening
to music, travelling, reading and writing. She is considered
sincere, honest, happy-go-lucky, and studious. |

Nancy Arispe Ureña
Nancy was born in Cochabamba in 1956. Nancy received a degree
in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at the San Simon University.
While pursuing her degree, she gave English classes to primary
and secondary school students as well as teaching Spanish
to foreigners. In addition to teaching, Nancy has also arranged
home-stay visits in her house for students learning Spanish.
Due to her knowledge of Quechua, she has often worked in rural
areas providing professional support as well as promoting
Bolivian-made products in Germany. She has two sons
and lives with her mother in Cala Cala.

Oscar Rosas Llusco
Oscar is a native of La Paz. He speaks Spanish,
Aymara and a little English. He studied Languages and Linguistics
at San Andreas University in La Paz. He worked as research assistant
at the Institute of Bolivian Studies in the Faculty of Humanities
and Education in 1997, and in 1998 as junior researcher in the
Program of Strategic Investigation in Bolivia. Since 2000 he
has been teaching Spanish and Aymara to foreigners. His hobbies
include playing football, volleyball and cards. Oscar
is married with three children.

Patty García Bráñez
Patty García Bráñez was born in 1981 in Cochabamba Bolivia. She attended secondary school at the Maria Cristina and finished her high school studies in 1999. In 2000 she began her studies at the Universidad Mayor de San Simon and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Linguistics.
Before joining Sustainable Bolivia Patty taught Spanish to volunteers at Projects Abroad. In her free time Patty enjoys listening to music, reading and playing basketball.
