Sustainable Bolivia offers a range of accommodations based on personal preferences and length of stay.  We provide accommodations with local families as well as comfortable rooms centrally located in downtown Cochabamba’s cultural district and the nearby countryside. 

Homestays with Sustainable Bolivia

We believe that total immersion is the most effective method to improve one’s Spanish skills and gain insight into Bolivian realities.  With this in mind, Sustainable Bolivia offers our students, volunteers and interns homestay accommodations with carefully selected families in Cochabamba.  We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity as it provides an invaluable source of Spanish instruction and an unforgettable intercultural and interpersonal experience.  Individuals who choose this option will receive a private and comfortable room, cleaning services and three home cooked meals a day.  Yet, probably the most valuable aspect of the homestay experience is the chance to integrate oneself into the daily lives and activities of a local family; to exchange stories, to make new friends, and to experience first-hand Bolivian warmth and hospitality.  (Click here for a detailed list of our families)

Private/Shared Rooms

Sustainable Bolivia also provides our interns, volunteers and students the chance to stay in a fully furnished large colonial style house in downtown Cochabamba.  Only a short walk to the “Cancha”, Cochabamba’s famous market, all of our rooms are private, quiet and safe.  Additionally, our central location provides easy access to many of Cochabamba’s numerous cultural and nightlife activities.  Our house features a fully stocked kitchen, a spacious patio and backyard, as well as a shaded balcony on the second story.  Due to the volume of interest, Sustainable Bolivia recently rented out a second house located right around the corner from our office.  In both locations, all of our rooms come with free cleaning services, free wireless internet access and free unlimited telephone calls to the United States and most of Europe.  For interested individuals and couples, Sustainable Bolivia invites you to come and be a part of our family.
