Sustainable Bolivia seeks to help build a world that is not only ecologically sustainable, but also economically just. One way we do this is by supporting Fair Trade; one where the producers work under fair conditions and receive a just price for their products.
Sustainable Bolivia provides assistance to four partner organizations: Mosoj Yan, Puntiti Therapeutic Community, El Lino and Performing Life y Project Independencia. These organizations make handicrafts in wood, ceramic, metal, paper and precious stones, in order to generate much-needed income for the community. Our role is to promote and assist in the sale of these products and to act as an intermediary between the producers and the consumers without seeking any profit. The money generated from the sale of these products not only benefits individuals, but also the organizations which they are a part of, which provide a variety of social services and help those most in need.
In addition to receiving a hand-made quality product, when you make a purchase you will be helping many people have access to food, education, healthcare and improving their quality of life. Sustainable Bolivia is currently building a website for its Fair Trade Program and it should be fully functional shortly.
