I have been studying business administration and economic of development and I was very interested in getting an experience with a microfinance institution. Sustainable Bolivia made my wish true by providing me a 6 months volunteering with Pro Mujer, a Bolivian NGO of microfinance. It has been a great experience. I was based at the regional administration office of Cochabamba so I got a general vision of the functioning and of the decision making. In the same time, I worked in promotion and auditing in the ten centers that receive clients. So I was in direct contact with the clients and could observe the reality of the services provided and of the population attended. I learned a lot and on another side I think I helped Pro Mujer with my abilities in reporting and analysis through the use of computer skills. Finally, this experience was even better thanks to my stay in the volunteers’ house where I met great people

The atmosphere is very friendly and you feel like being part of a big family. Cochabamba is a very pleasant town where you can enjoy sun, palm trees and flowers, a huge market, good food and parties. So Sustainable Bolivia offered me a wonderful experience and you should enjoy the opportunity if you want to volunteer to get some professional experience and/or learning Spanish.
